My story
I first came into contact with art at the age of 8 through my grandfather, who was a passionate art collector. More Asian art from Japan and Korea, but beautiful works that in any case awakened my appreciation of art at an early age. Inspired by this, I became increasingly interested in art and went to many exhibitions and museums with my grandparents, but even more so with my great-uncle, who was a great connoisseur of modern art and a painter of modern works himself.
I was most immediately captivated by modern and contemporary art - I found these works imaginative and fascinating - I was particularly taken with the abstract works of Picasso - which is still the case today - even though there are now an incredible number of great artists.
Inspired by art, I became interested in photography at the age of 16 and chose photography as my very first profession, which I pursued as an advertising and food photographer for almost 20 years until 2001.
From 2009 to 2019, I worked almost exclusively with art, ran 3 galleries in Berlin and visited countless exhibitions, museums and important art fairs around the world.
Art has always been a very important part of my life and always will be, because it enriches immensely, inspires the imagination and, as the famous quote by Pablo Picasso says so beautifully - "Art washes the dust of everyday life from the soul".
